Mark Bentley’s journey into 401(k) consulting probably started over 30 years ago at his cousin’s college graduation. His uncle worked in the financial industry, and asked Mark if his new job at a regional bank offered a retirement plan. Long story short, it did. Mark signed up for the company retirement plan and hasn’t missed contributing from his paycheck since.
As a co-founder of Strive Retirement Group, Mark’s 30+ years of professional experience in various product development, business unit leadership and sales gives him perspective to help business owners implement well thought-out retirement plan strategies for their teams. His personal experience also allows him to help participants plan for their retirement – much like his uncle did for him in 1990.
In his spare time Mark is known to take on random construction projects around the house, much to the chagrin of his family and two dogs who are not big fans of power tool noise. But it’s time well spent and good practice as Mark has spent time during the summers since 2014 venturing to Maine as part of Mission At The Eastward, helping rebuild and repair homes of those less fortunate.
